Exceed Your Expectations In Brighton, New York: One Of The Best Places To Live In All Of New York State

One of America’s most attractive residential towns is Brighton: the third-best place to live in all of New York State, and the number one place to live in the Rochester area, according to Niche, a website that analyzes public data and reviews to rank U.S. schools, colleges, and communities.

On top of that, Forbes recently informed Brighton Zip Codes are the First Hottest Zip Codes in America this 2022, wanted by many people looking for places to live, driven by factors including relative affordability and convenient travel to big East Coast cities.

Home to notable leaders in business, industry, education, government, and the arts, you can live in the hometown of David T. Kearns, former Xerox CEO, former Deputy Secretary of Education, Winston Duke, actor in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, or David Cay Johnston, Pulitzer Prize-winning The New York Times reporter.

Brighton is located on the southeastern border of the city of Rochester and was founded in the traditional homelands of the Onöndowa’ga:’ (Seneca), part of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. In Brighton, you can find The Alcoa Care-free Home and Stone-Tolan House, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

There are many still well-preserved 19th-century brick homes within the town because Brighton used to be the brick industry capital of upstate New York back in the 1800s. Be sure to explore the history of the town and appreciate the classic architecture of Brighton, also known as “The Bricks of Brighton.”

Brighton has a lot to offer for outdoor activities because of its 24-acre Meridian Center Park along the Erie Canal. You can visit the easily accessible boating and fishing docks, as well as trails and sports fields. We at RPP Sold Team would like to recommend our five favorite spots to visit on Brighton:

  • The Brickyard Trail at the Sandra L. Frankel Nature Park: The trail is a multi-use trail that provides a direct pedestrian and bicycle connection between Town Hall on Elmwood Avenue and Buckland Park on Westfall Road.  It extends 0.8 miles through a publicly owned parcel of land that once served as the source of much of Brighton’s raw clay – fueling the former manufacturing industry.
  • Corbett’s Glen Nature Park: This Town of Brighton park occupies 52 acres in the area historically known as Corbett’s Glen. The park’s two miles of trails allow quiet walks with a variety of scenery. From the parking at the top of Glen Road, your visit begins with a dramatic entrance through a stone tunnel.
  • Buckland Park: Buckland Park is located at 1341 Westfall Road and has three playground areas. The park has bathrooms, tennis courts, several soccer fields, baseball fields, and a short trail around the perimeter.
  • Historic Brighton Museum: Historic Brighton is a Not-for-Profit Organization, created to educate Brighton citizens and the greater community about the history and growth of our town. Here you can find information about Brighton’s Brick History, architecture, and farms.
Are you ready to take a tour visit to our town? Don’t waste time thinking about it and contact us!. We will happily show you one of the highest-ranked suburbs in New York.
